After spending a great time watching movie "Shaadi ke Side Effects" in PVR Cinema at Gopalan Mall. We were leaving for our room. We were six friends, four got into their own car and two on their bike. On the way, we were gossiping over the movie just watched and slowly the talk went for Bollywood movies. We were discussing about the movies in 1947. While the talk was going on, suddenly i got an idea to go for 1947 restaurant which was about to arrive on the way. Over multiple discussions and advices, we finally decided to go for it because we had heard its name a lot of time from our friends and locals over here. We stopped our car nearby restaurant as it was having a good parking space.
We went into the restaurant and i got stunned looking at ambiance over there. It was having old carving on the walls as it was built in 1947 with cool breeze sprinkling over my face making a wonderful and excellent feeling. It mood got more fabulous. We went to our table as the appetite was feeling hungry as it was getting little delay from the regular routine. Waiter passed the menu to look over along with "Nimbu Sharbat". I opened menu to find out the best suitable simple, sober delicacies from the vast array of delectable goodies to change the taste from daily hectic oily and spicy food. We all order for lavish buffet with unlimited quantity and varieties of delicacies as we were feeling very hungry till that time.
In starters we asked them to bring palak soup, corn soup and mushroom soup. Now, curious wait was over and soup was at the table. I took a sip of it and i exclaimed with a remark "What a fine blended soup, wonderful!!!".
After that a spate of starter piled up on my table - paneer pudina tikki, papad, appimidi, kachcha mango, alu pakoda and paneer pakoda.
One good thing here was gap between distribution of each dishes. Then, main course arrived consisting of options of wheat roti, kulcha, butter nan with sabzi like sarso paneer, soyabean, alu beans and dal, fried rice, normal rice, biryani, curd rice, salad. Now, having it all my apetite was enjoying like anything.
Dessert was yet to come. It included four sweets namely gulab jamun, cham-cham, white rossogula, gajar ka halwa along with ice cream in unlimited quantity that much you can gulp. As i saw sweets, I jumped onto it to gulp all of it in one go and then one after the other sweets came and finished till my apetite got satisfied.
I paid a heavy thanks to the waiter for his kind service. It was a very nice dinner after a long time. I was just wonder how could i eat so much but one truth i came to know "If food is good appetite works like a rubber".
